Sildajazz Festival

Established in 1987, Sildajazz has grown into a significant event on Norway’s jazz calendar. Held annually in Haugesund, the festival showcases a blend of domestic and international jazz artists across various venues, from intimate clubs to large concert halls. The festival’s name, “Sildajazz,” pays homage to the region’s rich herring fishing heritage, with “sild” meaning herring in Norwegian.
